Up for Sale is my 1966 Mustang.
First the body. No rust and and an exceptionally good paint job which attracts many positive comments. I don't buy cars that need a paint job. Please note that these days a good paint job will set you back around $25,000.00 and up to $40,000.00 for a concourse finish. So do your homework.
The drive train. Rather than settle for the standard 289 V8 with the performance of a small 4 cylinder. This Mustang has instead had a few nice upgrades.
347 stroker, Edelbrock alloy heads with roller rockers, comps cam, Edelbrock manifold, 750cmf Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, electric thermo fan. The Block is a DSS LEVEL 20 CNC BLOCK. This is not a cheap crate motor, it has been professionally built to withstand high horsepower. 4 speed AOD with Hurst Shifter. Currie rear diff. 4 wheel disc brakes. RRS rack and pinion power steering. Great performance, yet can also cruise around town nicely.
Interior is in nice condition. Top part of the seats have been upholstered in black good quality leather. Not cheap re-production upholstery.
I bought it around 5 years ago in Melbourne, from a gentleman who's hobby is sourcing quality cars overseas. All of the cars in his vast collection were outstanding. I've had my fun with it and am ready to move on to something different.
Please be aware that these are old cars, and are never perfect. But are a passion.
That said, I would estimate that a good driver quality Mustang convertible would require around an extra $70,000.00 to get it as good as this Mustang.
Please, genuine buyers only. I will consider reasonable offers. Offensive low offers will be ignored.
